These images are created using all original photography that Steve has taken from his travels across the north woods and American plains, the south, southwest and Latin America. He layers his images digitally and adds color, texture and design--finishing them by applying the final montage onto a sanded wood panel. Using a thick, acrylic glaze, he coat the panel and imprint a variety of textures into the glaze. He then mounts the finished product in a handmade, shadowbox-style frame. The result is a vibrant, layered work, soaked in color and stamped with graphic images of iconic Americana and beyond.
